Where does this blower unit mount and are there instructions for this?
1 Answer
The blower housing mounts to the underside of the stove, with the output directed upward to allow air to be forced through the plenum on the back of the stove and into the room. The blower installation instructions are part of the stove manual and can be seen on page 35 of the manual of the Empire DVP30CA30 Heritage Direct Vent Cast Iron Gas Stove.

Unit works well , the automatic feature works better then I expected . The only issue so far is the unit is a little more fan noise then I would like . I also worry about the fan air intake facing the floor with no kind of air filter. The unit fit stove nicely easy install .

Blower works great.
Purchased the blower assembly as an option for the Empire VFP30CA30 Heritage Vent-Free Cast Iron Gas Stove. The blower was a great addition to the heater. The variable speed control allows the fan to blow slowly to where the sound from the fan is barely noticeable. At high speed the sound is noticeable, but it really sends the heat across the room.
Pros
Moves quite a bit of air through the heater. Easy to install.
Cons
Creates higher fan sound at high speed, but the speed can be reduced to lessen the sound.
