The blower on this unit is very loud; is there anything I can do to reduce the noise?
    1 Answers
There could be buildup in the blower itself. We would suggest blowing it out with a can of compressed air.

Does this model use air filters? Also, how often should I clean it and replace it?

This unit does not utilize a filter box, nor is there currently an option for this accessory. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Do I need a vent kit for this DV55SP wall furnace? If so, where can I find it?
    1 Answers
The furnace itself comes with a vent kit allowing installation of the furnace against an exterior wall. However, if the exterior finishing material is vinyl siding, the Empire Vinyl Siding Kit must also be purchased.

Does this wall furnace need to vent out of a wall? Do I need a vent kit for this unit?
    1 Answers
This unit is indeed to be installed on an exterior wall to be vented horizontally with the included vent kit.

Can I mount this on an interior wall?
    1 Answers
Unfortunately, high output direct vent heaters of this type must be mounted directly on an outside wall. There is not a vertical vent kit that would allow interior wall venting. Only B vent heaters would allow vertical venting through a roof.

What is the wattage on the blower fan of the DV55SPP?
    1 Answers
Per the manufacturer, a wattage rating is not given for this motor. However, they did provide amperage ratings of 3.0 amps at start up and 1.8 amps continuous. The motor is configured to operate on a 120-volt power supply.

Have this model for about last 10 years. When thermo calls for heat, burners go on but fan does not come for blower. Have shut stove down for now. What could be causing this problem?
    1 Answers
This concern could either be caused by a malfunctioning fan control switch or a defective blower assembly. Of course, it could also be blamed on an electrical issue anywhere in the furnace's electrical harness. To know for sure, a technician should be called out to check the unit.
