The fan will not run off of a battery back up. It requires 120v.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list any kind of decibel rating, but in my experience it is relatively quiet compared to other wall furnace blowers on the market. It can be added easily after installation, as long as an electrical outlet is near by.

Works great. Easy to install. Takes a little time to turn on/off as it seems like it is temperature activated. Don't get the heater without this and the thermastat!
