Empire brings beauty and warmth to your home with the Tahoe Deluxe direct vent fireplace. The beautiful hand-painted log set offers a natural look, while the contour burner generates up to 25,000 BTUs of heat with your choice of natural gas or propane fuel. The large tempered glass window provides a clear view of the fire with plenty of space to gather around. Black slat louvers provide a classic look, and the remote-ready millivolt controls provide you with options for convenient remote controls or wall switches. This Tahoe Deluxe model also functions fully independent of electrical power sources, meaning you still have a way to keep warm during a power outage.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.

Please Note: Fireplace is pictured with optional aged brick ceramic fiber liner. This liner is available for purchase through configurations or separately, but the base fireplace unit does not include a fireplace liner.

Venting is not included with the fireplace. It must be purchased separately to fit the needs of your specific installation. Is the empire 42 inch tahoe suited to horizontal installations?
Yes. Any direct vent gas fireplace can vent and terminate horizontally. You will just need to make sure it is appropriate venting configuration, depending on the horizontal distance needed to get to the outside wall.

We wanted a gas fireplace in our new house but the builders did not offer it as an option. After much research, we decided to buy the Empire Tahoe Deluxe Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace. It was easy to install and we love the ambiance and ease of operation.

Nice unit for the price.
This is a decent fireplace for the price. I didn't get a blower or auto-ignition or remote. I will be ordering the remote and wish I had put the wall switch in and purchased the electronic ignition model.
Decent flame, puts off good heat even on low.

Should come with remote on all models instead of being an option
Instructions were not as clearly written as they should be...especially for the venting
