This fireplace can start without electricity because it includes a millivolt-ignition system. This is an ideal unit for areas that experience frequent power outages. Users love the Empire luxury fireplace experience that creates the feeling of being near a wood fire with the convenience of a gas installation. With just a flip of a switch you can have warmth even during the worst winter weather. Each unit includes a realistic-looking ceramic log set and glowing embers. Always use caution when operating a direct-vent fireplace and make sure a screen is in place to prevent contact with the heated glass.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.
