Product Details
Get your home ready for winter weather with the Empire DVD48FP70N Tahoe Luxury Direct Vent Fireplace. The traditional style of this 48-inch fireplace will complement almost any interior, and the subtly realistic fire effects will create a cozy home atmosphere in any living space. This unit includes a ceramic log set, glowing embers, and lava rock. Flip a switch to light the intermittent pilot and you'll be ready to bask in the glow of your own fire-no wood chopping required! Direct-vent fireplaces must be installed with a fireplace barrier (not included) to prevent injury from contact with the heated glass.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.

Can we get this direct vent fireplace without the heat resistant glass screen?
The glass is required almost all direct vent fireplace. The glass typically is gasketed and ensure the unit drafts to the outside of the home and pull it's combustion air from outside. Removing the glass will also change the burn pattern and could cause soot to deposit inside of the home.
