Please Note: The fireplace's Middle Width must be at least 26.5 Inches and the Depth must be at least 14 Inches for this gas log set to fit. You can calculate the middle width of your firebox by measuring the width (left to right) approximately half way back in the firebox. Can this be installed in a bedroom if my state allows bedroom installation?
This set's BTU output is too high to be allowed in a bedroom. The maximum output for a bedroom set is 10,000 BTU.

Yes, this log set is IPI(intermittent pilot ignition) and a ventless set of logs. The pilot and burner are controlled via the included remote.

Why does this keep my room too hot even when the logs are not on?
The pilot flame is adjustable. If it is too high, you would need to have it adjusted to the proper height by a gas technician.

There is indeed an initial burn off period, generally about 5 hours, where you will want to run the log set with your windows open.

Great set of fire logs
I'm very well pleased with this set of logs. It looks great and I really like how it operates. I love, love, love the "burning embers" and how the set is designed to give you dancing flames - very realistic! And you can change the height of the flames. I haven't tried the thermostat yet because we really only use it in the evening or early morning. The only thing I would change if I could would be the sound of the gas, but it's really not that bad. The logs didn't even have a smell to burn off! We are really enjoying this log set, and I would definitely buy it again.
