Do the logs actually come with this fireplace or are they extra? Also, is the burner actually stainless steel?

This unit DOES NOT include a 7-piece log set. It is an optional choice when you choose your burner configuration, and it is an additional $270. The burner itself is not stainless steel, but the outer design of the unit is.

For the non-combustible studs, can that be a 2x4 encased in a metal outer layer?

Noncombustible studs will be made of metal only. They are C-channel studs with a hollow center and are the same type of material that commercial structure walls are typically made of.

Is the front of this Empire Traditional stainless outdoor fireplace rounded?

It is not. The gradient on the reflective front in the default photo makes the face of the unit appear convex. However, it is completely flat.
