This incredible gas Room Heater and Blower by Empire warms large areas with 65,000 BTUs of radiant heat, and features the matchless piezo ignition system-requiring no electricity. This closed front gas heater comes in a durable beige cabinet and has a convenient hydraulic thermostat, and the draft diverter can be vertically or horizontally installed. The blower is automatic and this heater can be used with either natural gas or propane. This heater comes with a 10 year limited warranty for combustion chamber and a 1 year limited warranty for parts.

Please Note: This Model Cannot Be Used With An Optional Remote Control Or Wall Switch/Wall Mount Thermostat. A Rotary Knob Is Located On The Unit To Control The Temperature Setting.

This heater has a BTU rating of 65,000. Propane consumption can be measured at approximately 91,000 BTU per gallon, so this furnace will use about a gallon of propane every hour and a half of usage.

I am interested in the rh-65cblp model. I have an existing propane stove that uses 1/2" copper tubing for the gas supply line. do you think this will supply enough gas flow for this stove? I know the literature says use 1/2" pipe, but what do you think?
Yes, though it depends on the total run of the gas supply line, 1/2" is likely just fine.

While this unit's venting can go horizontally for a run, it must ultimately terminate above your roof.

My house was built in 1884, and what is quite remarkable is that this unit is able to keep it warm, and do the job in an extremely effective manner. The only detraction to speak of with regards to this device is that it doesn't necessarily heat in a manner that I prefer. We build a stainless steel cage to surround it and prevent our pets from touching it.
