I can't seem to find any instructions for assembly of the termination kit.
The instructions for this termination kit will be located in the installation manual corresponding to the Superior fireplace you are installing. If you are not installing a Superior fireplace that utilizes SecureVent 4 1/2 inch by 7 1/2 inch direct vent, this should not be used.

A More Compact Design Would Be Nice

I had some problems with the 90 degree elbow tightening on the 3 foot extension it seemed to be larger than the pipe. I used number 10 self taping screws to make sure the pipe was secure. The hood is very large and I think designed for new construction. Since I was mounting this partly on a concrete wall and partly on vinyl siding I had some elevation differences. On the siding 2 inches of Styrofoam rigid insulation was put on before the siding and where it met with the concrete it was indented another 2 inches. Since the hood only has an 1 1/4 inch lip I had a problem. You can not mount the hood any lower into the wall than 1 1/4 inches. After speaking with the Efireplace experts and getting approval from the gas inspector I was able to make a 4 1/2 in extension to pop rivet into the 1 1/4 flange. Then using tin snips I was able to cut this new shroud to perfectly match the contours of the building. It looks quite good. It hasn't been inspected yet so hears hoping. I would be nice if they could come up with a better design. This hood is big, bulky, flimsy and expensive.
