No, per the manufacturer's installation manual "This appliance is for installation only in a solid-fuel burning masonry or UL 127 factory-built fireplace or in a listed ventless firebox enclosure."

What comes with this set? Does the rack that holds the logs come with it?

Like most all ventless gas log sets, there isn't a separate grate that would be included with the log set which would be the case with vented gas log sets. Instead, the grate incorporated into ventless burners is actually welded to the burner. Outside of this, this is a complete ventless gas log set that would include manual gas controls located at the burner base for lighting the pilot and adjusting the flame height, the decorative gas logs, rock wool and all miscellaneous items required for installation outside of a flexible gas connection.

Are you able to attach a thermostat or blower to this particular unit?

No, this log set includes a burner that can only be controlled manually, at the unit. However, this same log set is available with a remote-ready millivolt burner, onto which you can add a separately-purchased thermostat (remote or wall unit). Please see the Empire 30" Flint Hill Ceramic Fiber Ventless Propane Gas Log Set and Millivolt Contour Burner. However, there is no option to add a blower to any configuration.

This is a manually operated gas log set. Like all manually controlled log sets, this cannot be used with a remote.

Very warm logs the blue flame rail in front produces a lot of heat. They look nice and really fill up the fireplace.

Great looking logs and top notch service
I'm always Leary ordering online I want to touch and see in person but this product was everything and more if what the reviews said. The service was outstanding they kept in touch with you daily as to where your logs were and when they would arrive and they were right on time. The two twigs were damaged when arrived but were immediately sent as soon as they were notified so they stand by their guarantee their product Totally pleased and would definitely use this company again

Empire 30in. Nat Gas Fireplace
The instructions were not clear on log placement. Fireplace flame distribution was not distributed as shown, spread too far apart. There is a sound of gas when turned on; Puts out lots of heat.
