Please note that this is simply a firebox that is tested and listed for use with a separately purchased ventless natural gas or liquid propane gas log set and the log set itself would include the burner, gas valve, and pilot assembly. This differs from a ventless fireplace that would arrive with the burner, valve, and pilot assembly pre-installed. With a ventless fireplace, you are not allowed to change out these components and would be married to whatever controls arrived with the fireplace originally. Purchasing a ventless firebox allows you to pick and choose a ventless log style and control configuration, choosing what you prefer so long as this log set will safely fit into the firebox chosen. This will also allow you or any future owner of your home (should you ever plan to sell your home) to swap out this log set at a later date.
