Please Note: This unit requires a hard-wired power source and does not utilize a plug for outlets.
Also Note: Controls are located inside the unit's firebox, at the bottom. If purchasing a solid glass front, a remote or wall switch kit must be purchased to control this unit.

Does this unit allow the heat function to be disabled by disconnecting the jumper cable and then using the fireplace without heat and then not need separate wiring to the fuse box, and if I do operate with shared wiring to the fuse box (i.e. a tv) does th
Altering the wiring will void any warranty that the manufacturer provides. However, you can simply shut off the heat function of this unit via the command center of the fireplace. The description of the different functions is listed on page 6 of the owner's manual.

Easy to follow instructions and a nice visual flame. Voltage selector and mounting was simple.
Remote control (or wall mount) is a must with a solid glass door. Remote was easy to plug in.
