Can this stove vent through the ceiling/roof?
Yes, this unit can be vented through your home's roof. You can see more information on venting on page13-19 of this manual.

Does it have a hard wiring or plug in?
Please see the wiring diagram on page 41 of the installation manual - an AC/DC power adaptor is used for a 120V supply. There is a battery back-up so that the stove can be ignited in the event of a power outage.
