My Empire natural gas log model VFSV-18RSN won't light. The pilot lights when I hold the button, but it won't stay lit. I suspect it's the thermocouple/thermopile, as the unit is 14 years old. Do you recommend just replacing the thermopile, or should I also purchase the R5170 pilot assembly? I'm unsure of the specific part number for the thermopile. Thanks!
Empire typically offers a full replacement pilot assembly/ODS, and individual thermocouples/thermopiles may not be available separately. Please provide your shipping zip code, and I can check the pricing and availability for the R5170 pilot assembly.
