Empire has really outdone themselves with their new 36" Boulevard vent-free linear fireplaces. Designed for a zero-clearance enclosure, this petite unit is CSA certified and mobile home approved. With no venting required, you can install this unit virtually anywhere, given that the room has appropriate ventilation, of course. However, one thing you don't have to worry about is combustible surfaces, which makes for easy and more affordable installation. Fueled by natural gas or propane, this unit emits up to 28k BTUs of satisfactory heat. It even comes with a thermostat remote and battery relocation kit for your convenience. Don't forget to get your decorative media for a more customized look.

Is there anything besides the remote to turn the fireplace on or off?
The included remote can turn the fireplace on or off, control it by thermostat, and regulate flame height. The receiver box in the fireplace also has a switch for the unit's on/off/remote settings.

There are no requirements for a television that is mounted on the other side of the wall.

The light kit should be installed prior to the fireplace installation. The liner and decorative front can be installed after the fireplace is installed.
