SkyTech 1410 Hand-Held On/Off Remote Control - For Electric Hearth Appliances

I had a Skytech 1410 that after 15 years had gone bad. I ordered a new replacement, and although it at first seemed daunting, it was merely a matter of replacing the wires, and splicing where necessary. Installation took about 15 minutes. I would consider the more deluxe controller next time

My previous remote lasted for fourteen years. Toward the end of its life, I had to frequently replace the batteries in both the remote and the receiver box. It became quite finicky and had to be pressed or held a certain way in order to function. This new remote seems like it will work quite well as a replacement. The receiver box actually plugs into an outlet instead of being powered by batteries. I think this will be much better than having to constantly replace batteries in the receiver. It only took a few minutes to install this product, and it works quite well. I am very pleased with this product.

This system works great and was really simple to hook up. We purchased it for our rental, and so the simple design is very nice.

This remote may not have all the features that some have, but it is incredibly easy to get hooked up. It functions very well.

Our fireplace already had a remote unit installed when we purchased the house, but it soon became unreliable. This one was easy to install and works well. The extra control switch on the receiver box is a great feature, especially when the remote's batteries need to be replaced.
