Why does the flashing sleeve not come with this kit?
    1 Answers
Chase flashings are not mass-produced as chase measurements will vary widely depending on both the homeowner and builder's discretion, so manufacturing any universal chase flashing would be nearly impossible. Subsequently, a metal chase flashing is normally something that is fabricated locally and not included with this kit or offered on our site. This will have to be fabricated locally.

Will this work for coal and wood stoves? Can you attach single wall stove pipe to it?
    1 Answers
This would not work for coal or wood stoves. You will need insulated Class A chimney pipe to vent your unit.

Can this Exterior chase venting kit for 12DM FMI/Superior chimney pipe systems galvanized pipe be painted black or ordered with a black-painted finish?

Unfortunately, this manufacturer does not offer vent pipe in a painted black finished. The pipe would have to be wiped down, primed, and then painted to the color you wish.

I currently have a power vent system on my oil burner with forced hot water. I want to replace the power vent with a stainless chimney. I have a 2 story colonial home. What is the difference between the 12DM and 8DM kits? Also, would this be the kit I would need or would you recommend something else? This will be an external chimney and there is currently no chimney there.
    1 Answers
The 8DM and 12DM chimney is only suitable for use with FMI/Superior prefabricated wood burning fireplaces listed to UL 127 and would not be an option for your oil burner. These appliances use venting listed to UL 641 or Type L for Low Temperature Venting Systems. This venting can be found here.
