This large Round Top with attached Louvered Screen is another high-quality chimney component by IHP/Superior, and is designed to protect your chimney from falling debris, small pests, and weather damage. This chimney top is designed to be used with the IHP/Superior 8 in. diameter wood burning chimney ventilation pipe installation. The IHP/Superior chimney liner accessories are UL Listed and approved and are intended for use with IHP/Superior chimney relining pipe only, and are available in 8 in. and 12 in. diameter sizes.

Would this work with a double wall chimney with 8 interior and 11 exterior diameters?
Unfortunately, no. However, we recommend the HomeSaver Pro 8 Inch Round Chimney Cap for Air-Insulated Factory-Built Chimneys if the space between the inner and outer walls is air-cooled. If the space between the inner and outer walls is insulated, we recommend the HomeSaver Pro 8-inch Round Chimney Cap for Solid Pack Factory-Built Chimneys.

There is no difference in drafting but the louvered cap would work better to repel hard driving rains.

Excellent Screen, Requires Some Maintenance
Seems like a nice top but the grill is too tight and got clogged up within a few months. With a little maintenance by bending the flanges, it's a great solution to keep unwanted debris out.

A Necessary Tool for Winter Weather
This chimney cap does exactly what it says. Metal mesh keeps leaves out and the louvers prevent rain, ice, and snow from getting down the pipe. And, yes, it fits and works as described.
