Can fireballs be placed inside the burner area, away from the burner?
This burner is designed for use with 25 pounds of 1/2-inch reflective fire glass, as stated in the installation manual. Fireballs are not listed as approved media for this vent-free model, so we cannot confirm they can be used. Vent-free burners are engineered for a specific media configuration, and adding unapproved media can obstruct combustion, causing sooting, odor, and carbon monoxide. Any accent media should only be placed loosely around the outer perimeter, and only media approved by the manufacturer for this model should be used. Glass media is not included with the burner.
