For natural gas systems
Natural gas millivolt valve rated for temperatures up to 225 degrees. Valve features a front inlet and rear outlet. A 6003 series product. For use in natural gas systems only.
This is a millivolt valve and there is no wiring diagram available. The only wires that would be hooked up to this valve are the Thermopile wires (connected to THTP and TP terminals) and the control wires for a switch/remote/thermostat (connected to the THTP and TH terminals).
Whether or not this can be used with your fireplace depends on the manufacturer and model number and if the manufacturer confirms this is a suitable replacement.

What remote control unit works with this valve and what are the items needed to connect to the valve?
1 Answer
This valve can use any millivolt remote control, of which there are several options available (basic on/off, on/off thermostat, programmable thermostat, etc.). As for other parts, that will depend on the model on which you are trying to install this valve.

In order to light the pilot with this valve, the control knob must be rotated so that it lines up with the metal "arrow" that is stamped into the valve. The knob can then be pressed down, while pushing the spark ignitor on the unit to light the pilot. If the unit has no spark ignitor, a lighter or match must be used. Continue pushing the knob for 45-60 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. The knob can then be released and the unit can be turned on by rotating the knob to the on position.
