No, this remote will not work with that model of valve. The SPK-26 is a manual control valve only. It cannot have a remote attached to it.

Hooray, the fireplace works
After 3 years of getting on my knees and manually starting the fireplace, I did some research and discovered eFireplaceStore. In a couple days the Acumen RCK Gas Fireplace Remote Control Kit arrived. Approximately 15 minutes later we had fire.

Remote control worked well for 20yr old insert. It was easy to install and I only had to modify the connectors to work with my unit.
