Hy-C 13 x 20 Inch Black Galvanized Steel Universal Chimney Cap with 5/8 Inch Mesh

The Hy-C 13 x 20 Inch Black Galvanized Steel Universal Chimney Cap with 5/8 Inch Mesh is designed for a single flue-tile mount and attaches using an inside anchoring system. The installation involves an anchor assembly. First, remove the lid and insert a 3/8" bolt into the center hole of the crossbar from the underside of the cover, securing it with a wingnut. Then, place the base screen onto the flue tile. Screw out the studs until they contact the flue walls, then back them off about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn, ensuring the anchor hangs freely with approximately 1/8" space between the tips of the studs and the flue wall. Finally, press the tips of the studs down until they grip and tighten the wingnut. Test the attachment by jerking the crossbar upwards and tightening again.
