Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.

Can a mantle be installed behind the unit?
The installation manual for the Kingsman FDV200S specifies minimum clearances to combustibles: 6 inches from the sides, 3 inches from the back, and 3 inches from the sides when corner-installed. Therefore, any combustible material behind the unit, such as a wood mantel or shelf, must maintain at least the 3-inch rear clearance. The manual does not provide a separate clearance for a mantel above the stove, as this is a freestanding unit that vents horizontally or vertically. Since this can affect clearances to combustibles, we recommend consulting a local NFI Certified installer to confirm exact placement before installation.
