The Kingsman HBZDV4228 Direct Vent Fireplace is a 42 inch zero clearance fireplace from Kingsman. Each fireplace includes a millivolt valve that allows the fireplace to operate through a power outage, a flame sensor that shuts the gas off if the pilot light goes out, and a quality construction that is built to last. There are many options for quality designs including brass, chrome, or black, and options for performance upgrades like a programmable thermostat. Log sets are also available starting with a classic oak 4 piece set, and ranging all the way to an 8 piece burnt oak look. This fireplace is safe for use in bedrooms, and can be purchased in liquid propane or natural gas versions depending on your specific use.

Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.

This unit does indeed come with a plain black background. The brick panels are strictly an optional decorative accessory.
