Would this refractory mortar be sufficient to seal cracks in a refractory panel on a Majestic STR42 fireplace?
No, this refractory mortar is intended only for sealing the corners and edges of refractory liners in select newer Majestic fireplaces. It is not designed for repairing cracks in panels. If panels have significant cracks (wider than a hairline fracture or about the width of a nickel), they should be replaced.
