The burner on my model 36LDVTRN will light but after a short period of time it shuts down as well as the pilot goes out. What should I do?
    1 Answer
The appliance may need on-site inspection and servicing by a professional technician. The problem you are describing could be related to the thermocouple / thermopile, the main control valve, the venting system, the seal on the front door assembly, or some combination of them all. It is also possible that a routine annual cleaning might resolve the issue.

We have a Majestic gas fireplace model 36BDVTRN-serial #B25A0B04109682. Is there a blower fan kit available for this unit?

    1 Answer
The blower isn't available, but please note that adding a blower would have required 120v to be provided to the receptacle included with the fireplace for installing an optional blower during the framing phase. Since this is a millivolt system that wouldn't have required 120v for normal operation, voltage likely wasn't supplied during installation.

I have a Majestic fireplace (DVT43RN). The pilot light went out and I cannot get it lit again. I replace the thermo couple a few years ago and I'm thinking this may the problem again. Your thoughts?
    1 Answer
Standing pilot (millivolt) models will require the pilot to be replaced every 5 years or so. If it's only been 2-3 years since replacing the pilot, you could try cleaning the pilot assembly with some very fine grit (300 grit and above) sandpaper or with an emery cloth to see if this corrects the issue, but contacting a local technician to check for other issues may also be a good idea as all gas fireplaces should be cleaned and maintained annually. We recommend using the National Fireplace Institute Website to locate a gas specialist in your area.

I recently bought a house with a Majestic WM42HT-S heat circulating fireplace. It was installed in 1991. The chimney inspector was surprised to find refractory board only on the floor of the unit. Should I have (or put in) refractory panels on the sides and back of the firebox? Thanks for your help.
    1 Answer
You will indeed need back and side panels for you fireplace. Unfortunately, we do not offer refractory panels that are specific to your fireplace model. We do, however, offer universal refractory panels. They are manufactured by Hargrove, and we sell them single or in sets of two. Follow these links to see what we offer: Hargrove Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panel - 24 inch X 28 inch Hargrove Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panels - 24 inch X 40 inch - Set of 2
