I have an Empire direct vent gas fireplace that blows out during high winds. I am considering the Metal-Fab 5 Inch Diameter High Wind Snorkel Termination - 36 Inch Length and would like to know what makes this a high wind setup: is it the snorkel itself or the end cap configuration? Thank you. D. Brown.
This termination may be compatible, but only if your Empire model specifically lists it as a tested component for your vent configuration. Please refer to your fireplace's installation manual for this information.
