If you are looking for a slightly more traditional line of fireplace inserts then the Osburn Matrix 2700 Wood Insert may be what you're looking for. This insert is a fusion of old style, and new innovation. While the aesthetic gives you the look and feel of a traditional fireplace, the eco-savvy will love the fact that this insert gives off a low emissions rate of 1.26 g/h. With a maximum log size of 20" this fireplace will burn for up to 8 hours. You don't have to worry about being cold this winter because Osburn has you covered.
Did not realize that there was a limit of time on burning. How long do you have to allow to cool to be able to burn again? This is something you can not allow to burn for like 4 or 5 days straight?
1 Answer
The listed burn time is not a restriction on how often you can burn a fire, but rather the estimated length a fire will last in the insert without re-fueling. The insert can indeed be used for several consecutive days.

Does glass on the door stain with smoke after fires?
1 Answer
When burned properly, little to no smoke/blackening should appear on the glass. If blackening occurs, it can be cleaned off using an ammonia free glass cleaner or Rutland White-Off.
Can this be used to replace a heatator insert? Is it “0” clearance?
1 Answer
Unfortunately, this unit is not to be used as a replacement for your heatilator fireplace. It is designed to be installed into a pre-existing fireplace with the use of a directly connected chimney liner system.
