With vented gas logs, you'll enjoy a large, realistic-looking flame that operates with an open chimney flue, or damper. These logs, which simulate a wood-burning fire, are the most realistic type of gas logs but, just like real fires, lose some of the generated heat up the chimney. Vented gas log sets are the most popular type of gas logs sold. Professional installation is recommended. Sets include handcrafted logs, custom grate, Real-Fyre Burner System, Granules (sand or vermiculite), Glowing Embers, grate clips/log locators, pan/connector kit and damper clamp. This gas log set comes with a Variable Flame Remote Ready Pilot System. The variable flame remote ready pilot system allows you to control your system using a remote control, wall switch, or the manual knob on the burner system. This system does have variable flame height control to turn the fire up and down. The set is compatible with the basic variable remote control (VR1a), which will simply turn the unit on/of and adjust the flame height. Great look and heat
Love my new logs! They look great and put out good heat. The variable setting is great. Set up instructions are not the best. I wired the box wrong and off was on. Now that I have them operating I love em. The buying process was great.

Delivered as promised and on time.
I was anxious to get my gas log set delivered and have installed before some guest from out of town arrived. I ordered it on a Saturday and they promised that I would have it by the next Friday. As it turned out it arrived on Thursday and I was able to have it installed prior to my guest arrival. One of the logs had been damaged but I took photos and sent them in and they promptly ordered a replacement log for me.
I had done plenty of research on log sets and am very happy with my decision to go with the eFireplace store.

Couple hours work ===NICE !!!
This is a very nice unit, that I had my plumber / gas man install for me. After a little bit of replumbing ,I had a very nice gas-log fire !
The unit came with close to 100% of the needed parts..
Minor plumbing pieces that the plumber /gas man had on hand.
The directions could be more explicited.

Configurable, Clean
We love how easy it is to change to look of the logs, and we experimented for a while to find a good configuration we liked. I love the fact that I no longer have to clean up mess from normal fires. It was very simple to get installed, and we use it every night it is chilly (with no complaints at all so far).

Warms Up the House
These gas logs not only look great, they also put out a lot of heat. Its no wonder my friends thought it was a wood-burning fireplace! I look forward to using it all winter long. I am very happy with this purchase. It is easy to use, durable, and looks amazing!
