Real Fyre Evening Fyre Split Gas Logs by Peterson are truly the ultimate in taking the look and feel of an actual wood fire and recreating it in your own home. This gas log set is a Vent Free Gas Logs Set. Vent-free gas logs (also called Ventless gas logs), which operate with the chimney flue closed, will not give you that roaring fire effect- the flame is not as realistic or as high as you'll find with vented logs. But, vent-free logs are an efficient heat source because 100% of the heat generated stays in your home. You'll often see vent-free logs referred to as "vent-free heaters" because that is essentially what they are. They consist of U-shaped burners with cement logs stacked on top of the heating element. Most sets have a thermostatic control that helps maintain a consistent room temperature. Vent-free heaters add moisture to the air, so it's important to install them in a room with proper ventilation to avoid formation of mildew. Before installing any gas log system, check your local and state codes. In some localities, vent-free heaters are not permitted. Vent-free heaters are not permitted in bedrooms, bathrooms or recreational vehicles, and must be installed in an area where curtains, furniture, clothing or other flammable objects are at least 36 inches away from the perimeter of the heater. Vent-free heater installation also is not recommended in high traffic, windy or drafty areas. This Ventless Gas Logs Set comes with Real Fyre Vent Free burner system, ODS safety system, pre-assembled valve, lava-fyre granules, glowing embers, custom grate, and connector kit. This gas log set comes with a On/Off Remote Ready Pilot System. The pilot will stay lit at all times. The on/off remote ready pilot system allows you to control your system using a remote control, wall switch, or the manual knob on the burner system. Very realistic fire!
This product is the best I have seen! The fire is very realistic. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that it was a little complicated to set up the remote control. It did not make sense to us to push the OFF button when trying to turn ON the flames!! But once it was on - the fire is perfect. My husband was able to install the burner himself - but he is very handy - and it only took a couple of hours. I highly recommend this product.

Realistic look and automatic temperature control
I replaced our 19 yr old manual logs with these to have an automatic heat source when electricity is off, they are wonderful to look at and the ember burner makes them look natural.I installed this system and was using them in a few hours and my wife is even happy !!Remote control is much easier to operate since we are seniors now. Sales person did a great job answering our questions and we are pleased to have the new log set. See atts....

Beautiful log set
It arrived in only two days of ordering the gas fireplace. My contractor installed the unit for me; I am 68 and not very handy. The fireplace is very attractive with these logs. The instructions for the remote was very confusing for both the contractor and me, but we finally figured how to turn it on. I highly recommend the company and the gas fireplace logs. My contractor's wife now wants one.

I'mpressive looking log set
We were very pleased with the number of days it took for our logs to arrive (approximately five ). They arrive in good condition.They were packed very well. The logs are beautiful.We called our gas service technician and he came that day and he had them installed within thirty minutes. He was impressed with the looks of the logs.We have not used them yet, so we can not comment on how well they heat, but we are very please with how they look. We highly recommend these logs.

I have sat in front of a couple of gas fireplaces trying to determine if they were real or not. That is what I was hoping for but that is not this set. It is quite clearly a gas set with ceramic logs. That said it isn't bad. The fire is nice and it puts off a lot of heat. The burning embers actually look pretty nice in person - better than in photos. The gas sound is pretty loud.

Couldn't Be happier
By far better than anything else I looked at any price. I purchased a Napoleon fireplace unit for an earlier project and their logs feel like they are made out of Styrofoam. Real Fyre logs are heavy duty ceramic that look and feel like they will last. The shipping was fast and packaged extremely well. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone. My only recommendation would be on log assembly, maybe color-code the connections to make it easier.

Better than wood
I have had gas logs before but the Real Fyre logs are the bestI have ever seen. The heat these put off will keep you warm under the coldest conditions.

This product was expensive but it needs to be a good quality to stand up to the heat it is made very will and look almost real when looking from a distance I would say this log set is the best one to look at

Money Saver
Even though our plumber took a look at this set of logs and said that he felt it possessed a high level of quality, I have always felt that it retained a bit of a fake appearance. I purchased this particular product on the internet, a move that undoubtedly has saved me a good bit of money. One piece of advice: do your research before you go shopping.
