This Drolet Ultra-Quiet 130 Cfm Blower with Variable Speed Control fits on Drolet Escape 1800 and Classic EPA model heating stoves. It's designed to help distribute the heated air produced by those stoves, making the heating process easier, faster, and more efficient.

The blower itself operates extremely quietly and moves an impressive 130 cubic feet per minute of heated air. What's more, there are variable speeds, allowing you to get heat where you need it in short order and to maintain a comfortable temperature much more easily than you could without a blower.

Please Note: This is only compatible with select Drolet stoves.

Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Gary from TX asked:
Will this blower reduce the rear clearance of the stove, decreasing the rear heat?
Will this blower reduce the rear clearance of the stove, decreasing the rear heat?
This would not reduce the rear clearance of the stove.  It is simply to move the heat around more efficiently.

What is the direction of the blower air? Does the blower send the air straight up from the rear?
What is the direction of the blower air? Does the blower send the air straight up from the rear?
The blower on this unit is designed to blow straight up the rear of the unit, inside of the heat shield. It will then continue through the shield and out on the top of the of the unit. It, unfortunately, is not designed to be mounted in the opposite direction.

The installation instructions for the blower would be in the manual for the woodstove that you own.

Should have bought it with the stove

We replaced a 40+ year old wood stove two years ago with an EPA approved efficient stove. Our retailer thought it would heat well enough without the fan so we didn't get it then. About the same time we bought a fireplace insert with fan for our daughter's house. What a difference the fan makes. Spreads heat faster and wider than the stove alone (which has an enviro conduction fan).

Pros

Mostly easy installation. A back panel on the stove has been cutout with a few easily removable tabs that, once removed provides smooth access to pre-drilled holes for the provided sheet metal screws. Installation took 15 minutes except for one hole not lining up with tab on the fan. I drilled a new hole using the tab to align the hole and then used a stove-pipe hex-head sheet metal screw (that came with the stove) to complete the install.

Cons

Minor fit alignment for one mounting screw.

Drolet blower fits perfectly

My husband & I purchased a used wood-burning stove for our 4-season porch. Once we got it home, however, my husband was disappointed that the blower-unit that came with it was not the right fit for that model stove. Thanks to your help we found the correct blower and it fits perfectly. I ordered the Drolet Quick Connect Thermodisc too as a bonus and my husband loves it! We are both very pleased. Excellent service, availability, and delivery time. Thank you!

Pros

Fits our stove perfectly. Our stove is in a long room and this fan moves the heat efficiently from one end of the room to the other. Much quieter then the "wrong fit" fan that came with our used stove. Easy to install.

Cons

The title is "ultra-quiet" which I would interpret as almost silent, however you can hear this fan. It is NOT LOUD by any means (and much quieter than many fans) but you CAN hear it. Fortunately, our stove is located AWAY our TV so it is more of a backgr

Efficient, well made and saving money

I am using this with a Fisher fireplace insert and it has greatly improved circulation of heat throughout the house. My insert did not come with a blower and has a flange at the top of my insert that holds this blower in place without coming in direct contact with the wood stove insert. The blower unit at full speed is a little noisy but at 3/4 speed is hardly noticeable in the family room. Temperatures at the far end of the home have increased by 5 degrees on average compared to same outside temperatures last year.

Pros

- Saving money - have not had to turn on the electric heat pump this year! - Quality of unit is above average and design is good. - Variable speed control is built into unit. - long 8 ft heavy duty electric cord

Cons

- It's a little noisy at high speed - for my application - designed specifically for Drolet stoves - need a generic unit.

Throws a lot of hot air

The fan is fairly quiet at the lowest speed (I would not say ultra-quiet), and fairly noisy at top speed. It was easy to install however the supplied screws were too large (diameter) for the holes in my stove which is a Drolet Escape 1800. Overall it performs well and really throws a lot of heat as would be expected. I thought my stove would cool off more at the low speed setting, but the temperature stays the same and my house seems to heat up faster. I use the fan about 80% of the time now while running my stove.

Pros

Well-made Moves a lot of air

Cons

Fitment wasn't perfect
