How is this fire pit assembled and used properly?
To assemble your SunnyDaze 6 Inch Portable Tabletop Smokeless Woodburning Fire Pit, you will primarily need to unfold its flip-down legs. We recommend assembling components on a soft, clean surface to avoid damaging the finish.
For proper use:
* **Placement:** This fire pit is designed for outdoor use only. Always place it on a level, non-combustible surface and keep it a safe distance from combustible materials like fabrics, gasoline, or other flammable liquids and vapors.
* **Fuel:** Use only wood as fuel. For the best experience with reduced smoke, use dry logs of medium or high-density wood, and avoid freshly cut, wet, or rotten wood.
* **Kindling:** You can use pine heartwood or clean construction cuttings with newspaper or copy paper as kindling.
* **Ignition:** The fire pit uses Match Light ignition. Do not use accelerants such as gasoline, diesel fuel, or used motor oil, as this can cause serious injury. A small amount of kerosene or lighter fluid can be applied directly to the grain of the kindling and allowed to soak in before lighting if needed.
* **Loading:** Arrange your wood in a teepee or cross-stacked style, placing the kindling in the middle of these formations. This arrangement helps pull oxygen from the sides, creating a tall flame with minimal soot and smoke.
* **Lighting:** Allow several minutes for the wood to catch fire. You may notice some smoke when the fire is first lit and as it begins to spread. As the wood catches fire and the fire pit's double walls warm up, secondary combustion will occur, greatly reducing or eliminating smoke output.
* **Safety:** Always exercise the same care and precautions as you would with an open fire. Protective gloves and long-handled tools are recommended while the fire pit is in use.

This firepit is able to burn small wood pieces or wood pellets. No special adaptor is required.
