Can a free standing woodstove be vented up the chimney of these fireplaces? The Stove would be placed in front of the fireplace on hearth. The pipe would be run vertically into the firebox then elbowed up the flue.
Yes, provided the manufacturer of the stove you are installing permits such an installation.
