This does vary depending on the exact kit, but one example of a 36" Stone Age kit requires 4 buckets of mortar for assembly.

How much of the ready-mix mortar do I need for the Veranda Fireplace?

While the manufacturer doesn't explicitly spell it out, it appears as if a 5 Gallon container should be sufficient for the installation, but this can vary depending on what you are using for facing material. With facing material and firebrick(if you choose to add it) you may need another bucket.

1 Answer
It is best to let the mortar cure for a period of 2-4 weeks prior to a fire. This time may need to be extended if installed in a damp/humid climate.
