My remote stopped going to smart mode. How can I fix it?
I would start by removing the middle battery in the remote handset. Press and hold the thermometer button down while you place the middle battery back into the remote. After the battery is back in place, let go of the thermometer button and test the functions. This may take a few tries, but the smart mode should return.

How do I turn off the remote restart?
How do I turn off the remote restart?
On a proflame remote system, you can deactivate the thermostat mode. Hold the thermometer button on the front of the remote, and remove the middle battery from the remote. While still holding the thermostat button, replace the middle battery and then let go of the button. When you turn the remote back on, the thermostat should be deactivated and the fireplace can only be controlled manually from the remote.
