    What does the manual say about how long you can safely burn it at a time, or in a single day?

    The manual does not put a limit on the amount of time the appliance can be burned in a day. The manual only specifies being sure there is adequate combustion air available in the room, to ensure the ODS pilot does not shut off. You can see the manual here. Page 6 covers the combustion air and ventilation specifications.
