I would like to confirm that it is okay to cover the stainless steel face with non-combustible material. As in covering all the stainless minus the hood (if applied).
Yes, per page 15 of the installation manual: Only noncombustible materials like marble, stone, tile, brick, etc. may overlap the top and sides of the front-facing.
