Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 8" inner diameter.
Please Note: Fully insulated fireboxes feature an additional layer of ceramic insulation, as well as the standard air space. They are recommended for installations against an outside wall or in an exterior chase enclosure, as they provide superior protection against cold air intrusion into the room when the fireplace is not in use.

Are there any glass bi-fold doors that you can get for this model? I assume there is a lever for opening the flu? Also, do you have to use the side vent for additional air flow?
There are bifold glass doors available for this unit, and the outside air kit is available but is entirely optional. There is a damper handle built in for the flue.

The opening size is 21" H x 41" W. This information can be found on page 4 of the product manual.

Can this wood burning fireplace be converted to accept gas logs in the future? Also, does it have a pre-cut hole for gas lines?
This unit does indeed have knockouts on each side panel for a gas line to be run. Because it is somewhat difficult to add the gas line after the fact, I recommend having the gas line run during the time of installation. It can be capped until it is needed in the future.

Beautiful and easy to install
The fireplace is an absolutely beautiful addition to our home. It adds warmth and the perfect cozy feel. We are SO happy with this purchase.

Affordable, small footprint, allows versatility in design for each individual preference.
Cons
It does make some noise, specifically, a loud bang when it is cooling. This can be startling and a tad annoying but it is not constant and we are getting used to it.
