This smooth faced fireplace comes with a Herringbone Textured Terracotta or White Stacked refractory brick liner. It is designed for the large, customer masonry fireplace look and has no smoke shelf. The brick to brick face design completely covers the interior sheet metal of the firebox. The unit has full insulation construction and uses only Superior 12" venting. There is a 25-year manufacturer's warranty on this item. The framing dimensions are 51-1/4" W x 58-1/8" H x 30-1/8" D. The actual firebox dimensions are 42" FW x 30-1/2" BW x 30" H x 28-1/2" D.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 12" inner diameter.
Please Note: This model is a direct replacement to the previously available FMI Georgian 42" Smooth Faced Woodburning Fireplace G42H.

Can you use vented gas logs with this firebox, and can you vent this box out the wall instead of the roof since your using gas logs?
You can use vented gas logs with this fireplace. However, the venting will still need to be installed through the roof.

We purchased this fireplace a year ago and love it. The firebox opening is huge allowing 2 people to sit in front of it perfectly. It will heat our living room and kitchen about 30 to 40 degrees warmer than outside. We were going rustic so stoned to the edge and painted the inside mocha with firebrick paint. Great company to work with. For sure pay for liftgate service with the delivery.
