The US Stove 33 Inch Ashley Direct Vent Gas Wall Heater does not include a built-in fan or blower. It operates without electricity, relying on a battery-powered piezo ignition. The heating process utilizes radiation and natural convection: the sealed combustion chamber heats the metal cabinet, which then radiates warmth into the room. This also creates a natural convection current that circulates warm air upward and outward. This sealed, fan-free design contributes to the silent operation of the stainless steel burner. For more active heat distribution, an optional add-on blower is available: the US Stove Company 35 Inch 150 CFM Blower for Direct Vent Wall Mounted Heaters, model DVB25. This blower is designed for use with the DVAG30N, DVAG30L, and DVAG25-DF models, is easy to install with just a screwdriver, and features a built-in thermostat that automatically cycles the blower on and off.
