Product Details
This a tough, well-built fireplace, much like the French general it gets its name from. The Lafayette II is one of the most customizable fireplaces in the Valcourt line. Pick from any number of louvers to fit your style. Unlike the French general, however, this fireplace is EPA 2020 compliant. Which means you'll burn clean in this beast.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 6" inner diameter.

How long will the fireplace hold a fire after it is closed up for the night?
This appliance is rated for a 9-hour burn time. Now, this burn time is based on 40 lbs of "kiln dried crib-wood" and may vary when using real firewood. This timeframe is based on the time the firebox warms up to 110 degrees and activates the blower until the unit cools down below 110 degrees and the blower shuts off. These "burn times" are based on the actual time the appliance is able to generate usable heat (hence the blower operation). Variables such as chimney height and air control settings will affect this "burn time."
