The HEI240 has a shipping weight of 412 pounds. The flue system is purchased separately. The chimney liner options are located below the product details on the product page.

This unit does not have an ash pit or ash door. You would need to shovel out the unit to remove the ashes.

Ventis HEI 240
I’ve had my Ventis hei 240 about a month now. Super impressed with both the stove and efireplace.
I wasn’t sure which of 4 different stoves I wanted so I called and spoke with Aaron. We spoke for an hour . He patiently worked through all the stoves I was looking at . Most helpful. He gave me great tips on the install as well. It was delivered in about 10 days. Even the truck driver was super friendly. He rolled the stove into my garage. The Ventis 240 is wonderful. It’s the easiest stove to light ever. Burn time is as advertised, about 8 to 9 hours will leave you a small pile of coals which relights easily. Within 5 minutes i have a roaring fire. To get the longer burn times you need to close the air control almost all the way. Which as the owners manual will tell will leave some brown stains on the glass. Hotter fires with the air control about half open leave no staining.
To clean the glass take a damp paper towel and dip it in the fine ash from the stove and rub the window. It cleans easily.
Efireplace and the Ventis hei240 get 5 stars.
Pros
Love the big window. Burns a third less wood and makes more heat than my previous insert. Blower is quiet. Because of the efficiency of the burn and high temps maintained in the fire box my chimney stays very clean.
Cons
Occasionally you will get a small rattle from the blower. A couple pieces of duct tape between the blower frame and the ash lip stopped the rattle. Yes , they are completely hidden from view.
