I have a stone fireplace with an opening about 36" high and 35" wide. The top of the opening is curved. Is this screen an appropriate fit?
By Will M. on July 10, 2014
Answer:The center panel is only 29" wide, while the side panels are 13". This screen would seem to work for your opening.

I have a 1940's home with a stone front fireplace that is 34.5" wide by 28.5" high? Will this 3 Fold black wrought iron Arch top large screen fit without any problems?
By Will M. on September 21, 2015
Answer:This would cover the opening, but please note the center panel is 29" wide and each side is 13". Each side panel will be angled back towards the hearth, so I would consider the width at roughly 42".

Is the width of this item 56" fully extended? When do you start to fold it in, and will it cover our fireplace, which has a width of 50"?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on November 7, 2012
Answer:The 56 inch width does refer to the screen being fully extended, or laid flat. The screen would be able to cover a 50 inch opening, but would not have much stability, as the side panels would be tilted at a steep angle. Unfortunately, our largest screens measure out to this 56 inch width, so this would be your best option.

How tall are the side panels of this 3 fold black wrought iron arch top large screen? Is the 36 inch height listed the tallest part of the screen?
By Will M. on December 15, 2015
Answer:Per the manufacturer, the side panels with the handle are about 36 inches tall and without the handles they are about 34 inches tall.

I am looking for a toddler proof tri-fold screen for a gas log fireplace. The opening dimensions are 37" x 28". I'm looking for something that is basic and black and I think that the heavier it is, the better. Do you carry something like this?

How heavy is this item? It is for an 87 year old man. He would need to move it everyday. Also, are there any hanging screens this large?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on November 26, 2013
Answer:This screen weighs approximately 27 lbs. Unfortunately, no, we do not offer any hanging screens this large.
