We have a wood burning stove that has a cast iron door with a glass window. Would we have more heat if the glass window was gone and we had a solid cast iron door?
By eFireplaceStore on January 2, 2015

Not necessarily. Stoves that have glass and stoves that don't will only offer a marginal difference in heat output. Stoves with glass allow radiant heat to pass through the glass and heat objects to the room, while solid cast doors absorb heat and then release the absorbed heat to the room. As such, they accomplish the same task by different means.

I have a Napoleon NPS45 and I need a new igniter for it. What do you carry that will work?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on February 4, 2013

We are a Napoleon dealer and we can supply the factory replacement part(s) you need. For your NPS45, there are three separate parts applicable: (1) igniter, (2) igniter housing and (3) igniter gasket.

There are a lot of details that go into building an attractive wood stove, and we know that getting exactly what you need can be a lot of work. That's why we've put together such an extensive collection of wood stove accessories. You can find all kinds of fireplace extras in this section, including kettles, trivets, and stove thermometers.
