I have a wood burning fireplace that measures 38" x 28"? Can I use these doors or are there other options?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on April 2, 2013
Answer:No, these doors are only suitable for use with the Monessen 42" Royalton woodburning fireplace models. If you have a manufactured fireplace, please provide the manufacturer and model number. If you have a brick/masonry fireplace, we have some custom glass enclosures that can be made to your size.

I just moved into a home and want to put doors on the fireplace. I know it is a prefab fireplace, but I am not sure of the model information. Is there anyway to tell if these doors will work, as the dimensions are correct.
By Will M. on December 6, 2016
Answer:The only way to confirm will be with the make and model number.

What doors would you recommend for a wood burning fireplace that is 38 x 25? My fireplace is stone and does not have smooth sides. Is there a way to seal the sides?

In order to install these doors, there are supposed to be four screws provided, 2 screws each for top and bottom rails, with which to attach the door rails to the insert. These four screw were missing from my door package. As we had just bought the house and this unopened door set was part of the sale, it is not on guarantee and the supplier says if they aren't in the package then he doesn't have any suggestions (there was a small plastic bag stapled to the outside of the box, the contents of which had been removed).I would be very appreciative if you could tell me where and how to get the correct four screws to complete the installation of this beautiful fireplace.

Answer:Per the manufacturer, these 42GDKBK doors actually require six (6) #10 x 1" sheet metal screws for installation. These should be readily available at a local hardware store.

Is this the exact same door as for the Majestic Royalton 42" fireplace? The part number is the same. I want to get black doors for the MHSC BC42 fireplace.

Hi, my fireplace opening measures 35 inch wide by 22 inch high, the problem is the side has a raised border, so there is no extra room for the rim of the fireplace glass door. Also, the top of the opening has a lion head, so again no room for the rim. What do you recommend for this style of fireplace?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on July 17, 2013
Answer:It is difficult to tell from the photos, but is appears the firebox itself is a metal, manufactured unit. Is this the case? If so, there should be a build tag located on the unit that indicates the manufacturer name and model number of the box. This information can be used to locate the correct set of inside fit bi-fold doors, which can be installed even with the surround in position.

I need to replace a fireplace door for a masonry fireplace that measures 41-5/8" wide by 24" high. Would I need this Monessen standard bi-fold glass fireplace doors with black track? If not, could you help me find the one that I need?
By Chris C. on October 29, 2015
For a masonry fireplace, I would suggest our Textured Black Princeton Glass Enclosure
. For your model fireplace, select the finished door width as 44", and select the finished door height as 25".

What is the height of the 42 inch Monessen standard bi-fold glass fireplace door with black track?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on November 27, 2013
Answer:These doors are approximately 21 inches in height. It is important to note that the position of the mounting pins is specific to the Majestic and Monessen Royalton fireplace. Some modification would be necessary to make the doors fit any other brand.
