    How soon after applying XD Red to pellet stove vent pipe can you paint it? The XD Red is still tacky after 12 hours. Will high temp stove paint adhere to it?

    Depending on application and ambient conditions, this RTV could take up to 7 days to fully cure. Once cured, it will accept high temp paint.

    After applying xt red silicone how long do you wait before painting? it seems to stay tacky for many days

    Longer cure times usually occur in high humidity or were the product is used generously.
