1. Does the Rutland 4 inch dryer brush allow, or require a variable speed electric drill to turn the vent brush, or is it turned by hand?
2. The label on the Rutland vent brush says "10 feet" but the item description says "20 foot flexible handle"- does this mean I can use the vent brush up to 30 feet, 20 feet or 10 feet?

Answer:This item must be used by hand. It is not designed to be placed into a drill. it will come with a 20 foot flexible handle.

Can the 20' vent brush with handle be hooked up to a drill to clean a 4" dryer vent?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on December 8, 2011
Answer:This particular kit only includes a handle and brush with rod. It is not set up to be used in conjunction with a drill for cleaning a dryer vent. You would simply need to sweep the brush back and forth through the vent until all deposits are removed.

My dryer vent is in two parts, half a metal coil covered with plastic film, and half a metal coil covered with metal foil, joined in the middle with duct tape. Is the brush soft enough to avoid damaging this vent pipe?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on May 3, 2013
Answer:The poly brush head is indeed designed to clean all dryer vent material without causing damage. As long as the vent is attached well enough that it will not separate at the joint from the movement of the brush, this product will work for you.

I need a flexible handle that is longer than 20 feet! Is 20 feet the longest you sell/have? If so, what would you recommend?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on February 14, 2013
Answer:Unfortunately, this 20-foot handle is the longest one we carry. We apologize for the inconvenience.
