Flashing is a necessary component for any chimney vent. As long as your vent reaches the outside, flashing is necessary to create a weather resistant seal. Our flashing is available in two options: ventilated and non-ventilated. If your chimney passes through a non-ventilated space, ventilated flashing becomes necessary. Yes, if the pitch is between 7/12 and 12/12 and the pipe penetration is on one side or the other of the ridge (not directly at the peak).
