Kim D. from maine asked:
Does this expand to fit tightly with the screw in the front to adjust? Is this fireproof? We have a hole where there must have been a stove previously, but we do not use that flue any longer and want to plug it up. Can this be removed easily?

While the screw may be adjusted to hold the plug in place, this product is made to simply seal a hole left in masonry after removal of a wood stove and its corresponding stovepipe. The plugged chimney could not then be used and would need to be repaired by a chimney sweep.

If you have a 6 inch hole that would be the correct part.

WORKS AS ADVERTISED.

Worked as advertised, fit perfectly in the chimney thimble. However, I do think that it is a bit overpriced based on the materials that went into its construction.

Draft stopper

Seal chimney clean out tight. Wood stove draft is much better. Very satisfied quality and function.
